What is the opposite of a hostage situation where

You have a choice to get out, but don’t?

Stuck between everybody wants you but

They don’t

Stuck between moving out but

Not having enough money to last a year

Stuck between getting more money

But unable to quit or be fired

Moving upwards in almost every aspect

Yet still feeling stagnant

Like a Non Playable Character

in a gradually weirder simulation

Is life holding you hostage

Or is it your past

Haunting your mind of a time

Long gone that your future

May never live up to

Your past

Your memories

Now but a daydream
