Clocked Out is Knotts the Nomad’s 3rd EP, which just dropped January 21. I’m going to give you all you need to know about what you can look forward to hearing!
The album, a 14-minute journey of 4 songs, is an auditory acid trip. The vibes are collectively trippy and heavy with a few visuals to match (if you stream it on Spotify, you’ll see the visuals).
- Psilocybin Views
Knotts the Nomad details his spiritual shift and heightened awareness of himself and the universe thanks to psilocybin. It’s a bit of a tribute to the magic of psilocybin and debating the pronunciation of it. The repetition of which pronunciation is correct, or if it matters, is almost poetic. Then, as the track nears the end, the beat slows down, which is a nice touch before going to the next track.
2. Origami Folds/ Down N Out pt2
This track seems to be about betrayal and bouncing back from it. The flow is a bit of a switch up from what you can typically expect from Knotts and the beat pairs well, like a slow trip paired with travelling the galaxy vibes.
3. PTO Trip
This track is more chill, the background vocals are reminiscent of Egypt, makes me think of pyramids and sand. Though the lyrics aren’t about any of that, however, it could be interpreted that way if you really think about it. As he proclaims himself a god and appreciates his divinity while still exploring his spirituality and parts of his mortal life, the themes kind of relate to Egyptian mythological gods.
4. Clocked Out
The beat on this track is like Because The Internet era Childish Gambino and POWER Kanye West. With featured artist, Aura Da Prophet, it’s a powerful duo. The flow, the beats, the everything about this track. This is probably Knotts’ best song yet.
