The Power of Silence

Falling soundlessly on the ground
Light and quiet
Loose and aimless
No worries, no pressure, no care

Conversation, speech
Fluid, promptly expected
Those who speak the most
Are deemed more interesting, lively, intelligent
Those who speak the least
Deemed peculiar, unsavory, dumb

The more talking, the more to process
The weight, the pressure of contributing
When you finally find the words
Too late, your moment's passed
Hm, it turned out better in your mind

Polar opposite to your thoughts
Your thoughts, ideas, they speak volumes
Your voice soft, often unheard, your actions
Are what speak loudest
Your silence eclipses your rich interior
Your many actions

You may feel weak in conversation
But power lies in your silence
